With 29 votes in favor and 16 against, it was determined that Councilman Byron Sigcho López will not be censured and will continue to preside over the Housing and Real Estate Committee of the Chicago City Council. All this controversy stemmed from images circulating on social media of Sigcho López speaking at a place where a demonstration allegedly took place where an American flag was burned.
